How up to date is the demo?

Want to see how well it runs on my machine. Is the demo up to date?

Yes you can but Rockfish recommends you start with a new game if it's a pre-release save. Up to you. If you downloaded the demo today after it was updated and you are talking about a save from that version of the demo then it should work fine with release 1.0. of the full game. If you are talking about a save from the previous demo version, then I recommend starting a new game.

if the demo works well for you, it doesn't mean that version 1.0 works well for you. I played the demo for 3 hours without any problems, but version 1.0 ran much worse from the start in terms of performance.

I literally came here t ask the same thing. I played the demo SUPER early, years ago, when they first came out with it. I loved the first Everspace, it had some of the best controls I have ever experienced in a game. I could move my ships with such insane speed and precision, it felt great.

But in the Everspace 2 demo, it felt way slower and clunky, if you know what I mean. I couldnt stand it. Anyone know if thats been improved? I mean, I could just download the demo again and give it another whirl, if its mechanics matcj 1.0

Demo ran pretty good for me on Medium settings and still looked great. That sucks reading your post as I assumed I was all good haha :(
