Do demo saves carry over to full game?

Oh I didn't realize that the demo was based on an even older early access build. I thought it was released today with the same code as the full game.

So I assume that the same holds true with the demo as with early access- you recommend starting over with the full game because it has content changes from the demo?

Yes, but i'd recommend starting fresh anyway. Lots of changes from story to gameplay and the added voice acting is really nice.

This is good to know as I too was wondering if the demo save carries over to the full game. I just played over 8 hours and got some good stuff that I would like to start with continuing the full game. Since the update, will all of the content of the updates carry over once I start the full game with my demo save? I know that the recommended is to start over but was just wondering.

I noticed that the demo version is the same as the main game, so it's not surprising it carries over. What about the achievements, will they update too, for the ones I already beaten in game ?

Yes, however this is one caveat. If you completed those achievements prior to the release on April 6th all the achievements were reset so you would need to start a new game and complete them again to get credit for them. If you continue on with a save game from prior to April 6th it will work, but it won't show your achievements.

Yeah, I did the demo post release, and while the save carried over without issues, I still had to make a new save for 10 minutes to get the homebase achivement, which didn't unlock when I loaded the lvl 5 save from the demo.

could have been a minor data-file error. This can happen after updates. In most cases, verifying the File via Steam should repair faulty files.
