Hey, I enabled it, and also added the Steam-Xbox feature driver. Didn't help.
Putting in a cable did, that's a workaround but my sofa doesnt like cables ;)
Yes I am using a generic bluetooth dongle, my original died a few days ago....
My controller is also detected as Xinput.
Xbox Elite-controller Series 2 over bluetooth.
My Corsair K83 has bugged controller inputs in the past, but disabling the HIDs of its "gaming device" usually did the trick.
Sounds to me like the game is receiving mouse/keyboard and gamepad inputs at the same time and the UI switch is costly. To get rid of this, go to settings->input->customize controls and change the "Input Method Override" from "Auto-detect" to "Mouse + Keyboard" or "Gamepad" or however you'd like to play.
This fixed the issue for me on my Xbox Elite Controller over Bluetooth. Thanks!
The interface change no longer happens, but the fps drops are still there as if the game kept changing the HUD internally and it does it only when I use specific buttons on the controller. It is a bug that totally damages the experience.
The only way to be able to use an xbox control at the moment is by cable.
Doing the aforementioned and activating the steam input fixed all the problems.
can confirm, works for me
I was getting the same with an XSX controller over bluetooth. This fixed it. But one thing though. At the bottom of that screen it says press 'X' to accept but when you press it, it doesnt seem to give you an indication you pressed it. Only when you press 'B' to quit and go back in, do you see it actually saved it. Is it meant to be like that?
