How to solve blurry rendering during camera movement?
Hello spacers! Very excited for the 1.0 release. I played during early access release and then again a year later, but I can't remember if I struggled with what I'm now experiencing....

I can't see sht because the game is so blurry when I move the camera. I've tried motion blur, chromatic aberration, vsync, lens flare, resolution, shaders, shadows, textures, and view distance in all combinations of on/off/high/low and still it's very difficult to make out details while spinning around. Given the fast reaction times needed in a dogfight I'd really like to be able to clearly see enemies and obstacles.

Now if I take a screenshot it doesn't look *that* blurry (only a little) so I wonder if the problem is related to my refresh rate. I have vsync on and my monitor is a TCL Roku 4k 120 hz tv. plz halp!

[edit: tried on dx 11 and 12, no changes]

Make sure HDR is off. Adjust Gamma, if it's too low or too high you won't be able to make out details. I would try turning VSync off (or only enable it with performance settings from your GPU control panel). Maybe try DX11 rather than DX12. I've noticed the game does seem to be a bit less sharp overall then the original Everspace 1 game from what I've seen so far and remember from the first game.

Have you tried anti aliasing on low?

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I've tried low anti-aliasing, gamma, hdr, vsync, and dx11, but still no change. I tweaked setting in NVIDIA control panel a bit, then set them to the GeForce experience optimum and am still dealing with blurry views while turning.

Additionally, I tried every setting on my tv, adjusting contrast, power consumption, input lag compensation - still no change :C

Potentially SOLVED -- when I switched from fullscreen to windowed and used a scaling program (Lossless Scaling on steam) the blur disappeared!

How big is the TV size (which TCL model, curious) and what GPU? I assume you have no issues in any other games?

I have a Geforce 1660 super and a TCL 55S435 60" 4k.

Many games such as Cyberpunk, God of War, and Star Citizen are NOT blurry while others like Timberborn, Divinity Original Sin 2, and Lost Ark are. It does seem especially pronounced in Everspace 2 but perhaps that is due to paying more attention to the background.
