Edit: I don't really want to spoil anything, but once you found the first entrance to the room, there are several red panels with an assortment of warnings to not proceed further with the last panel in the final room saying something like 'I told you so'.
Im curios, but i will not ask about more details. Seems like i have to investigate that Area^^
Now, looking at someone else doing it on youtube, I recall when I did it, the details, the messages, and think that if the game was more minimalist in the puzzle placement and used more diversity, this would have been a great moment. Specially if the immobile machine at the end gave proper reward and fought for it.
The entrance is a small dark hole, very easy to miss. I only discovered this by seeing a container and some mines and trying to figure out how to get to them.
Anyway once you ignore the obvious warnings and open the door anyway, you'll get sucked inside a VERY long corridor with two paths that both lead to death (I tested both paths, it doesn't appear to be normal environmental damage mechanics). The only way out is by aligning with the long corridor so you can engage FTL, and then jump out of the system.
I would hate for someone to accidentally get stuck here and feel like they're trapped with no way out except to lose a bunch of other progress, so I want to confirm it is at least possible to avoid the death scenarios.

I actually forgot that i changed settings to Hard a while ago^^ Maybe thats why the Impact did hurt, even with my Bomber. BUT... it hurt less than my starforged CM on minimal impact distance.
(still find it weird that its called that in english^^ in my language, its called "Meisterhaft" (Masterful) )
@Rockfish, is the "Reward" just a "Participation certificate" or there something more to it?
Im curios.
But lots of gamers have some degree of OCD when it comes to finding all the hidden things (I blame 80's Nintendo games, personally), so it serves as a reminder for us to loosen up and not stress out so much about little things in life.
I mean to get here, you have to move stuff out of the way, bypass electrical shocks, go down a long windy corridor, ignore all these obviously-put-here-by-modern-people marquees inside an ancient structure. Curiosity killed the cat, though.
