Nope there's several. Someone else will have to tell you where they all are, but there's one in Nephtys Plains in Ceto and one in Prescott Starbase in Union.
For ME, the Scout is the best ship. I love its mobility and farther-ability ;)
The more distance there is between you and your target, the harder you hit !!
I know it's counter-intuitive and... kinda space-physics breaking (unless you consider your enemy a big enough mass to induce acceleration), but i's awesome hahaha
Loving the Vindicator right now though. Having drones that fly with you and help in fights is really really awesome. One of my favorite features of the game currently.
I don't think I have seen that one, will keep an eye out.. :)
- Light class (high strafe speed, low health): Scout (stealth sniper with bonus range to all guns), Vanguard (assassin with bonus crit stats on attacks from behind), Stinger (device specialist which powers up guns on using a device)
- Medium class (balanced strafe speed and health): Sentinel (fast-firing shield tank with chain lightning ULT), Striker (close-quarters fighter with multi-tether ULT), Interceptor (can fire guns from boost energy when gun energy is depleted)
- Heavy class (high health, low strafe speed): Gunship (armor tank with 2x gun shots per volley), Bomber (hull-leeching ship which fires missiles/mines from weapon energy instead of ammo), Vindicator (can create persistent minions from dead enemies)
Bomber in particular is not a bad choice to keep in the hangar for some of the Daredevil challenges (e.g. complete HRA without firing guns / without shield or armor equipped).I might have to try all the ships at some point but for now I thought would be more interesting to try some of the small class as oposed to getting another big ship such as the bomber or the donner...
Just think of a ship change as as a trade-off, you will lose something to get something else...in this case I've got agility for cargo space, but gained fun as a bonus.
It will be interesting to see what other ships become available in time...
- scout - range master. Ult is stealth, and adds even more damage to long range strikes. Made for sniper gun. It's small, fast and nimble. Glass-made though.
- vanguard - tiny little shield tank. It has a bonus to shield, adding it when the ship flies above top speed. This means you have to use boost or "dampeners off" to take advantage. The ULT is very good for challenges - slow mo - you get extra time, and extra precision on your flying, being able to solve those puzzles like a king.
Also, it punches harder on enemies arses. It's a feature. Slap those bosses where it counts.
- stinger. This baby is small, fast, nimble, and adds an extra weapon to the firing when a device is activated. You can use this for wicked purposes. All its perks are based on this too - device activation. You can turn it into a real demon with perma-teleport, if you build it properly.
- interceptor. Damage freak. It uses boost energy as weapon's energy, and the ULT adds extra damage and unlimited energy to that. It's the Boss killer. Not so good against mobs, but it gets the job done easily too.
- Sentinel - No. I won't talk about this piece of junk. Buy something else.
- Striker - Speed freak. Yes, it's expertise is boost speed. You can make it fly FAST. It's a medium ship, but for the speed lovers out there, it's THE SHIP. Also, mob killer. It's ULT is made for that. Also, best racing ship by miles.
- Gunship - 4 hardpoints, turret as ULT with incredibly fast recharge. If you find a Gunship with coil gun selling, BUY it. It's a whole armada on the move. Also, really tough armor.
- Bomber - Uses secondary weapons with energy pool instead of count. It never gets short of missiles and mines. If you get a torpedo, slap it, cause it's AWESOME. The ULT is a Mega-Bomb, the Arc-9000 - A big ball of energy that flies through enemies releasing static damage, and at a tap of the ULT button, it explodes for MASSIVE damage.
Also, Hull regen.
- Vindicator - Drones. Those buggers fly around you and pew pew at your enemies like stupid wankers. Lots of people love it. I hate it, simply because the drones are a bunch of pricks with no tactical control. They do their thing. If you press the ULT, they'll do their thing more aggressively.
Also, tough shields.
For the most part I have been enjoying this game, but it's just getting too much...
But it's a feature.
My advice?
-Don't do those too much in a row. Do one, then go get some daka-daka pleasure.
- Sometimes, with puzzles, changing view to clear 1st person after changing FOV to 110 will do the trick. Less constrained vision, more relaxing. (I play with 3rd person FOV 90, and 1st person - no cockpit - FOV 110, when searching around.)
- Vanguard ship helps a lot with puzzles. Tap the ULT for slow motion.
