-get a fast ship, and use dampeners-off to push the fight to mid/long range.(the speedster way)
- if using a slow ship, get some cover. (the tactical way)
- you can literally hide inside a structure, and use devices like emp+corrosive+virus to screw them all up until time is up. (the camper way) XD
use a Scout, do as Pappy and Johnny suggested : take a thousand steps back, whip out your rail gun and flak... and oliterate them ;)
Priority one : get rid of sniper bots first until your range can actually outdo theirs; armor drones need to go asap, too.
I don't know about you guys, but energized boost is unnecessary with the scout as you can turn around, use some maneuvers that'd rip someone's skull out without gravity damps while boosting... and voilà !
Love the Scout ! -I sincerely hope it doesn't get messed with- (CSGO has been notorious for constantly messing up weapon stats for years and destroying its own gameplay)
