EVERSPACE™ 2

EVERSPACE™ 2

Statistiche:
Ridiculously low FPS with a better GPU than before.
Hello everyone, i have uhh a bit of an issue here.
I've been playing the game since launch on early access with my trusty GTX 1660 at medium high(SSGI off and shadows low) @1080p getting a framerate between 65 and 45, the lowest being on high intensity fights and some other very demanding places such as a kharkov with all that volumetric smoke.
Two weeks ago i purchased a RX 5600XT, the TUF TOP EVO OC edition which apparently it comes with a slight overclock, many people rate the GPU on par if not a little bit faster than the 2060.
Surprise surprise, the framerate did increase now the highest being over 100 at high-epic settings but guess what, every single time i enter a fight it drops to 65 and in some places its utterly horrible, at 35-40, which before it wasnt even near that. The odd thing is that whenever these scenarios happen, the GPU usage drops from 99% to 40% until everyone is dead or i stop shooting. The exceptions being prescott base and that big ring-like colonial space station, its drops to 32 just by looking at it and no matter what my settings are, it stays that way which i repeat, it wasnt even that low before.
I did had to format the PC but to no avail, disabled everything on the radeon settings and it still runs like ♥♥♥♥. Does the game prefer nvidia over amd even with such a considerable gap between gpu performance?
My full rig is:
R5 2600 w/o OC
ASUS TUF RX 5600XT TOP EVO
Gigabyte Aorus b450 pro wifi
2x8 DDR4 2666Mhz Crucial Ballistics
Running the game on a Toshiba XG3 NVMe drive
The thermals doesnt even get to 70°C on the hottest spot at 100%
Does anyone with a similar rig have been having these problems? I'd like to know.

Try doing a full driver cleaner with DDU and sweep out all graphics drivers then do a full install with fresh ones.
Agreed, that's a really good idea, at this point.

Weird.

My tiny laptop with a 1070 runs this smooth as butter, all settings maxed, at 1080p.

My main desktop, with an overclocked 1080ti, runs this...okay at 4k, with some settings dialed down.

Not sure what's causing your grief.
A maximum quality of 1080p requires a GTX 1080 to maintain a stable 60fps. It's impossible with a 1070 laptop...

And at 4k, a lot of sacrifices have to be made for a 1080 Ti to run decently.

Don't misinform people with biased perceptions.
