Where do you find it ?
i´ve finished the story and did alot of optional things including rigged asteroids.
never found one single piece.

Vesna mining colony is your best bet, additionally Gad Fields, Navia, Crash Site, Rhaim Gate and Okkrot trading have a small chance of finding some.
Black market trader may occasionally sell some.

Anything "pure" has a low drop chance from ore deposits of that type (pure clygon is the "rare" drop for a clygon deposit for instance). Many beam and laser weapons can get a bonus ability that gives a better drop chance for the rare drops.

The best way to find pure Clygon is to fly around the Zharkov system and investigate all "unkown signals" for locations rich in resources, and of course have a mining laser with the mining catalyst installed.

just because its an old Question, doesnt mean its not a good Question. There will always be Players who have a hard time finding Ressources. Others can look into your Thread and find answers :)

Like others have said, Vesna Mining Colony had 1 deposit of it, but I got the vast majority of mine at a resource-rich Unknown Signal in Zharkov, flying between Smuggler's Backdoor and Navia Orbit.

Took me a few different Unknown Signals to get one with Clygon deposits but when I did, I got ~11 pure Clygon out of it.

Rocky areas of Drake also have deposits.

Found 5 deposits at Vesna, enough for 13 pure clygon, which was enough to get me Tareen's 6th ship-perk. Now onward to Prescot to get me a tier 4 ship :D :D

Second time I'm running the game, first time with Titans (which I haven't gotten into yet). By the time I'm done, Wrath of the Ancients will be out...

Really like this game :D
