Do a barrel roll

The tutorial in the demo says to use Right stick and Right stick to do a roll. Not sure how that works but the keyboard controls worked...

it's not a barrel roll maneuver... it's the roll axis ;)

The first of the right stick symbols is actually the symbol for the right stick button. So in order to roll using a gamepad you press the right stick (button) down, and while it is pressed you use the stick to roll left/right

I did press in the right stick and moved it left and then right, It didn't do any rolls.

Actually, you could even do a 360, but it would take time. Anyway, you have to keep the stick straight and hold it, then push it to sides.
I had some trouble figurin it out, since you gotta wait much to let the game understand the hold and not click action. It should be quicker. #suggestion

to roll is to tilt to the side, not a barrel roll 360 like Star Fox.

I didn't tilt either. I just moved left or right. Clicking down and moving left or right did not roll or tilt.

Just did this a few minutes ago. Press the right stick (to the right) and without releasing it, press it down so the ship rotates around itself.
