Anytime my ship landed I could save manually just fine - didn't pay attention to auto-saves but then again - I only died maybe... twice?
That said, it may just be one of those instances that sucks that it happens in this build. Basically, this is fixed and both auto-saves and manual saves have been addressed in our internal build that will be added in the upcoming April update at the end of this month.
- Autosave is created whenever you enter a location or dock to any station
- In rare cases an auto-save is created during a mission (these are then labeled as "checkpoint")
- Manual saves can only be created via the pause menu (P) while being docked to a station
Yes it is working when i enter the station and did activate the <P> pause game, it gave me the manual save option also, so yes all this is working, i just didnt know about using the pause key to pause at anytime, i was hitting esc to get to this and in station only the pause key will allow you to save manually but since it is autosaving when entering station this takes care of that. Tnx for explaining all this to me.
