this game looks f*cking awesome, will I be able to run it decently?
my specs
CPU i3-7100 @3.90GHz (2 cores 4 threads)
GPU GTX 1660
RAM 16GBs
I'm not too well versed in how much of a difference in performance certain parts compared to other make so if I can play this somewhat smooth atall I'll be happy

Gpu and ram look good. Not sure about the cpu. Minimum spec for cpu atm lists a 2500K (4 core 4 thread). You have a newer Intel cpu with hyper threading, so maybe it’ll be okay? But I’m not 100% sure.

How exactly, this is a two cores weakest CPU in the intel CPU family, usually for office work, at best. The CPU is a huge bottleneck even for this GPU.

Majority games (as is the case with ES2) are single threaded. As I said his cpu has hyperthreading which would potentially suffice given the minimum cpu spec also has 4 threads. I also did state that I wasn’t 100% sure as I can’t test this myself.

Sure there may be a cpu bottleneck, but note that it doesn’t take much to shift the bottleneck to the gpu. I have a 1650 super and play at 1440p perfectly fine. If they wanted, they could run the game at a higher res and will most likely run into a gpu bottleneck.

update: ran perfectly, was able to run it on epic with some minor fps drops if alot is blowing up and stuff so I lowered it slightly
I feel like they can safely change the minimum specs from a i5 to this i3 now lol

that’s awesome to hear! Enjoy :)

What resolution are you playing at? 1080p?

Damn really, I'd assume you are more bottlenecked by your cpu at a lower resolution. Is 1080p or higher not stable?

I tend not to play at differing resolutions as it messes with alt tabbing (typically making the screen go black for a few seconds and in some cases causing some performance issues when tabbing back into the game) so I wouldnt know, but I would assume that a lower res would help performance while a larger res would hurt it, but like I said I've never taken note of it before so I wouldnt know
