Tobii Eye Tracker support
For some reason you didn't add support for the Tobii to Everspace 1. They did offer their help to add the support.
Could it be possible to get Tobii support to Everspace 2 then?

Came across this just now as I've been thinking about that bit of kit myself lately. We'll have to see, hopefully the folks over at Tobii will reach out again during E2's Early Access and see what can be done!

Track IR was one of the kickstarter promises. Cannot comment on the tobii eye tracker.

+1 for tobii support please

Tobii would be great. Imagine controlling your 3rd person view only with your eyes!

Jokes aside, would be awesome having cockpit view and a kind of unlocked crosshair. You shoot where you look at within a small radius from the center.

well tobii does head tracking AND eye tracking.

I image head tracking for head movement just like track IR and eye tracking could be cool for smart HUD to show up only when looking at it, target lock on, and other more subtle things.

I have both, track IR and Tobii. I actually use track IR and Tobii 4c is just lying in the corner. While Eyetrackibg was good with it even on a curved screen, head tracking just worked like 5 % of the time - no matter the lighting, with glasses/headset or without, or changong the distance and height between me and that Tobii tracker. For Eyetracking I'd use it every day, though, even if it was only smart hud. Targeting would be quite cool. I loved this feature in the Division games.

We plan to support TrackIR and possibly Tobii at full release, maybe even sooner. /Michael

Slightly OT but since I'm actually on the fence with this... how is the eyestrain with Tobii? I read here and there of people complaining about the "weird" feeling after using the tracker.

I can tell you something about the eye strain. At first I really had kind of a weird feeling. Nothing that made me tired, but there was still something different. In my opinion it is because of the frequency of the light on that bar. I appears to be quite low and I constantly had the feeling that it either moved or something else changed down there. After a few days of using it, this feeling went away. So for me, a 35 yo guy wearing glasses it is absolutely fine now and does not distract me in any way.

On a side note: If you want to have headtracking - better not use Tobii. Tried it in ETS2 and ATS, Elite Dangerous, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, ArmA 3, and some other games. Not a single game recognized my head movement. Sometimes the view suddenly moved somewhere, but it was not a positiv experience, at all - and I tried every possible solution there is. Track IR is still the best system for purely head tracking.

Thanks so much for this feedback! Really helpful!

I’ll throw out as well however, that I own a track ir pro, and the last gen tobii tracker.

For me, tobii tracks just as well if not better than trackir head tracking. Eye tracking isn’t very accurate when on desktop but in games where it is implemented it’s just incredibly seamless and responsive.

No eye strain for me from either device.

Another vote for Tobii tracker support as well.

Been using it in other space games and it really elevates the experience closer to feeling like VR, especially for cockpit view.
