Especially with the upcoming GoH liberation DLC, there will be little reason to pick this up imo.
One thing I did notice is that the ratings for Men of War: Assault Squad 2 are very high. Much higher than Gates of Hell - and I like Gates of Hell. So, I was wondering, if I like Gates of Hell is it worth me picking up Men of War 2? It seems like they are essentially the same game.
Is Men of War 2 going to have skirmish? Will it be difficult in the sense that all your soldiers are killed within seconds like they did in Men of War: Vietnam?
What's the most obvious difference between Gates of Hell and Men of War 2?
As for your question.... I have no idea. I know the assault squad 2 game is like a "cult classic" but I never played any of them. I played company of heroes 1/2 and have 3 installed to try.
Sorry I can't be of more help but I am interested in peoples answers too so I will wait for the notifications
GOH has a bit more realism and grittier feel, with a much heavier focus on singleplayer campaigns and historical performance of it's units. I found GOH to be far superior to any MOW title in its single player content and dynamic conquest. As for MP it's pretty good, desyncs happen occasionally but overall a very solid game.
As to how MOWAS2 and GOH compare to vietnam, the games are much more lenient and less story driven, more focused on large scale engagements and larger control of units in combined arms warfare. GOH has the best engine out of all currently released MOW titles and is arguably the most stable. While MOWAS2 has a larger multiplayer community and more mods, albeit on an obsolescent engine.
GoH Ostfront would be great for me if it had large-scale battles with dedicated servers for multiplayer + a better game engine.
My opinions.
Wishing everybody a nice time in games
Agree with you about the dumb Ai in GOH do you think it will be better in Mow2 ?
Ive been playing the Headquarters WW2 Demo and its awesome ,turn based but really good.
I like the Arcade Mode but there is also a "classic" Mode for Hardcore fans.
