the only valid complaint I read in ANY review was always online, and crashing. other than that it's all whining.

this game blows CTA - gates of hell out of the water. the graphics are better here, so is the performance, and the ai is better in MOW2. basically as much content as gates has put out over these past few years.
old voicelines? devs said they mixed old and new.
bad graphics? are you blind? go look at old MOW titles or get your eyes checked.
bad performance? if you are on a toaster sure.

the devs are doing something new. something fresh, and I'm here for it. the MOW franchise has been stale for decades, most of the old titles were dead at all times and had to have community hosted tourneys to keep the community alive. yes some of the settings are to appeal to the broader market while still staying true to their roots.

all of the HP complaints are braindamaged. it barely affects gameplay and it isnt like world of tanks. things still get one tapped. they even added different modes for crybaby's who say the game isn't men of war anymore, and classic mode. and you still whine.

overall performance for me on a midline pc is exceptional, no lag, no fps drops, no issues. ui is much better in this title. I like the new forced together squads. the spotted mechanic is very nice. the overall engineer squads is a huge touch. the retreat mechanic is awesome.


tldr people like to whine and cry about something new. the game is good when you dont have a little whiny baby in your ear saying it isn't. they took steel division 2, and coh (when it was good) smashed them together with mow assets and made a great game. thank you devs, and welcome to modern gaming finally. please do not be discouraged by the crying children who have no intention of sticking around anyways, and please do not give up on the game. I love battalions mode btw.

watched some reviews and game-play, honestly it looks amazing. I'm going to buy it soon, if performance gets ironed out. read some reviews too and to nobody surprise people are crying.

I agree 100%, really taken back by many of the review bombs on here, mostly over GOH, which I like a lot as well, though MOWII is a damn good game in its own right, every bit as good if not better!

CoH3 got the same treatment. These communities just suck just as much as their game launches. I'm only waiting for the "always online" requirement to be gone and I'm jumping in to have fun. The game looks good overall.

Game seems pretty good, I like that it's a bit more arcade tbh but its not as arcade as coh... i can see myself playing the multiplayer after learning a bit more on pve. The online only thing doesn't really effect me anymore, wot and war thunder got me used to it long ago.

Absolutely. I play Gates of Hell and can vouch - the powerusers and devs are cliquish with each other. Obese forum moderators holding onto their power like a bag of cheetos. And they could never get a tournament running because the high level playerbase can't teamstack in a tourney. Sad!

If Reddit was turned into a video game, GOH would be a pretty accurate interpretation.

But seriously, it really is what it says on the title: Call to Arms: Gates To Hell..... a reskin DLC to another fail game. Meanwhile we made some real progress here.... We can rejoin games, we have functioning MM, and a wooden PC no longer terrorises the entire lobby. Only took 20+ years but it's finally here!
