Right now we if we connect accounts we can enable packs but the Steam version will be premium upfront so we cant let people in for free then enable the account like mobile.
So it might be a hybrid where maps are shared but premium is Steam vs mobile purchase.
It should be easier the other way. ie buy on Steam and it's enabled on Mobile if you login with the same account.
Messaging around that will be tricky though. So want to make sure we get it right

Right now the server for the mobile is disconnected (Code 13)

We're going to try and work something out that isnt a mindfield to support.
Destiny's support team is probably bigger than our entire company so makes complicated exchanges "easier"
The issue comes from syncing purchases, accounts and other elements in today's GDPR world. We cant store your email address with an account. If someone's only connect to us is via Game Centre on iTunes then we can't connect here.
So we'll have to add extra steps. And those steps require a lot of testing and potential issues arise

Another reason to support Brexit. The EU came up with this GDPR and ePrivacy Directive that accomplishes nothing but getting in the way of legitimate business. Ugh.
Yep we'll make the game FREE on Steam and pretty much same model as mobile. But login via your RISK account and get full access to mobile purchases.
Or visa versa
But sadly no cross save for single player. As those games are all offline
I was unable to log into my RISK profile in the Steam version. It doesn't seem to recognize the profile name. Should I be using my Google Play login details instead?
We see a lot of you trying with Facebook, Google, Apple - that wont work.
What will work:
1. Take your mobile, go into the settings and set a password (unless you did that already).
2. Write down or memorize your RISK name (the randomly generated one, like "Lucius The Cruel 33".
3. Go to Steam, log out if you already have a login active
4. Log in as Steam account with the credentials from step 2.
Voila!

No, where did you read that?
Your Google Play Account has still an underlying RISK account, get into the settings and set a password. Then log into the Steam version with the randomly generated name (you can find that in your mobile app) and this password as Risk account and everything is transferred!
