The unsolved small window problem

I'm playing with a group of friends, but one of them is unable to join, because the game always starts in a very small window and unable to maximize.

None have a solution

Hi there! Lets see if we can resolve this problem. This usually arises with changing screens/resolutions etc, if this wasn't the case in your instance please write us a ticket detailing your situation as this will help the devs reproduce and fix this.

We have two options around this

Option A: Should be able to set these within Steam @ right-click RISK in steam library > Properties > General > Set Launch Options... > -screen-width X -screen-height Y
This will force RISK to run on your chosen resolution on startup.

Option B: In RISK Settings > Gameplay-> Screen resolution you can set the screen resolution directly.

Thanks. Since the problem didn't happen to me, I'm copying your answer to my friend.
I think Option B would be difficult to try as the screen looks really small to be able to navigate to any menus, but he should be able to try Option A without problem.

If that doesn't work, I guess he would open the support ticket.

Since my response this issue has become a focus for the dev team to investigate.
Any support tickets lodged that can advise us on reproduction steps will help us fix this problem. :)

seems forced windowed play, you most likely can fix this by clicking on the game window then hit and hold left ALT + ENTER key.
