spectate mode has been reinstated for Play with friends mode in fog games
as for the colour descriptions, smg is an aussie company, this is humour, if you cant laugh at the devs being a tad silly about colours, then you need to stand up straight and tall and wiggle a little until the stick falls out of your ass
It's a joke, why do you need to be so rude or get worked up over how we describe a color?
mmmm good pick up. It's spelt correctly in the spreadsheet I wrote it in but not in game... We'll have to fix in next update. thanks for spotting
That's unlocking soon
Appreciate the robust feedback here delivered nicely too.
Totally broken:
- Matchmaker (Start a game using Automatch) doesn't unlock
- No Strings Attached (Break 5 alliances) doesn't unlock
- Long Engagement (Compete in a game that lasts 15 turns or more) doesn't unlock: I'm aware it was actually 20 turns when it worked in previous versions, but it doesn't anymore even with a 25 turns game in this one.
Broken in a good(?) way:
- Take No Prisoners (Defeat 10,000 enemy troops) actually unlocks at 5,000
- The Big 5-0-0-0 (Defeat 5,000 enemy troops) unlocks way below 5,000 (I guess 2,500 - half the required amount like the 10,000 kills above - but I only checked when I had already about 4,000)
- When playing with a friend, Corps Creator (Draft 250 troops) and Battalion Builder (Draft 1,000 troops) both unlocked for him during his very first game, much too early
- When playing with a friend, Unlucky Streak (Lose 3 games) unlocked for him after only one loss
- When playing with a friend, Slippery Slope (Lose 10 games) and Fourth time's a Charm (Lose 3 games in a row) both unlocked for him when going back to the main menu from his profile. Note he had only one loss at the time, with only one game played.
- When playing with a friend, The Chameleon (Play 5 games with different avatars) unlocked on his very first game (Games played: 1), when he hadn't even selected an avatar (in Customization, it's the all black "??? - We haven't assigned an avatar to you yet").
Wow that's A LOT of brokenness... Why are mobile ports written in Unity so often plagued with achievement bugs?! Anyways, I hope you'll fix them, in priority the first three ones which never unlock in version 3.0 (Matchmaker already didn't work in 2.8, I don't know for No Strings Attached and Long Engagement as I didn't play much until 3.0).
Honest answer: It's a combo of things but achievements are so low down on priority list for mobile games that they don't bottle up to the top like it does on Steam. So if it's broken but doesnt affect gameplay in any way we move it down the queue.
We're so focused on QA on the very visual or game elements that achievements get left behind. And they are just annoying to QA also as requires a lot of steps vs normal gameplay QA.
I've flagged this anyway as we probably need a proper QA sweep on Achievements alone.
No Strings Attached will be the only one for me i not get when they not fix it :( Need some more Online Wins. I'm at 51 from 55 Achievements. Hope they will look for a fix. The Game is awesome
