Why did the dev sell the game on Picroma, delete everyone's accounts after selling thousands of copies, move to Steam without sending any notifications to EA purchasers? I never got a single email about the move to Steam or redeeming a Steam key, despite buying the game in EA and creating an account on Picroma with my e-mail. Essentially, I was scammed....

I bought cubeworld when it first got popular like 12 years ago or something. It seems there's no way to recover that copy and I'm hesitant to spend $20 on a game this old that was seemingly abandoned a long time ago. Are they updating the game again or did they just release the same game on steam? Is it worth buying?...

So I get why people are nostalgic over the alpha and I get why people don't like the new Cubeworld but...
