I am going to start this post where everyone can post the red item seeds they have obtained which have red items or red recipes they have found. Post any seeds that contain red items below so we can work together to find the best gear in the game.

might have to do some diggin on some old forum sites like reddit but there was one i tried awhile back that put you near a high level volcanic region that had some good gear and a top tier lamp we dubbed the pocket sun because it lit up to render distance.

but i get the distinct feeling this got editted since its creation and those are now incorrect.

also i just learned how to bypass steams stupid content check on posts. just quote the person lol. it was taking too long to show your post normally.

occasionally when you post on steam forums. it'll make your post this:

your 2nd post still says this for me after all this time.

and yeah they arent red items but they are fairly useful seeds if those numbers are still correct. but yeah any red item seeds your gonna find on reddit most likely. its gonna be a lot of diggin in forums that are over 12 years old though.

See now this, this is a progression system. Omega should lean into this sort of player interaction and support it in-game, like how FromSoft games have player ghosts and messages from other worlds.

yeah Hello games tried this with no mans sky, it kind of works? outside the community expeditions i dont ever see the message modules and bases of other players in a normal single player game with network stuff turned on.

to be fair, the galaxy map for even the first galaxy is massive with lots of locations still not visited. but players have outside the game setup portal locations as hubs for activity in the creative spaces. which is still neat.

i'm still attempting to organically find my first red. so far i just hit level 901, hit both the north and south edges of the world, and found two level 101 items.
i've been enjoying the journey over the hunt

the seeds generate worlds that, like minecraft do eventually end to my knowledge. but they are incredibly far from the central starting point. and getting there by simply walking without using any exploits or tricks to boost speed beyond what the game typically allows for normal play would take a very long time. back when my friends and i were enjoying the alpha, despite our best efforts we never did reach the edge.
