There's a free download available, which I have played, but the game has little to offer, right now. You can, basically, explore mechanics and have a glimpse at what the world may look like it the future.
The good thing about Veloren is that it's open source, so anyone can participate in it's development. The community seems to be really involved in the project and willing to help the game develop.
