Report a translation problem
There has been no confirmation of support for more than 4 players for the full release, nor confirmation of dedicated servers. I would expect a maximum of 4 until shown otherwise.
It's certainly doable as can be seen in Minecraft, and that is a singlecore server, coded in a language that encourages bad coding (not even counting that the Mojang developers are incompetent. 1.14 saw to cementing that fact). Imagine multicore servers. 500+ population caps would be godlike.
If not wollay, hopefully the ones who made cuwo can make it happen.
