Mac and Linux version?
Do you have plans to releasing the game on Mac or Linux sometime in the future or are you going for Windows only? (P.S. I really love you for this Wollay and Pixxie!)

+1 for linux. I've emailed Wollay a couple times over the years asking if there were any future plans for linux but didn't hear back. The website has always stated that a mac would be released someday, but no mention of linux unfortunately

Honestly I'm just glad we made it this far lol.. I'll take what I can get I guess. If nothing else, hopefully it works with proton

I'd like a Linux version as well, or do like the No Mans Sky devs do and support it through Proton.

The last release of this ran almost perfectly in Wine with very little effort. I would expect the final release to work similarly.

Yeah but it's not native, don't get me wrong I'll play the game in proton but native is always better.

From a feeling like the dev supports you point of view, yes native is better. But native does not always run better. Dying Light performs way better via proton than native. With Borderlands 2, Aspyr never bothered to keep the game updated, so you can't play the native version with your Windows friends. Also runs better under proton. Same for Rocket League.

Last time I played BL2 I could play with windows users...when did that change? Also that's just because those are bad ports, I can think of a lot of games that have very good native builds. Most of them are unity but not all of them.

Use your brain, man. You think Linux ports make themselves? That's extra funds, time, etc that have to go into developing a port that could very well be a steaming pile of crap compared to the original. I'd rather just have them focus on making it work well with proton.

Linux and OSX were on the original roadmap so its a possibility. We will have to see what happens.

+1 for Linux Port. If pixie should read this, then please show this wollay. This can help him if he is interested and needs help porting Cube World to other platforms.

Otherwise, good luck and relaxing days.

I am using my brain and I'm completely aware they don't make themselves, I'm a software developer, believe me, Ik. Proton is not the future, it's the stopgap. It's good to get people to switch but we need native ports long term.
