u can just go to a town and stay in the inn for instant day reset
u can use the spirit bell too, i just use the lamp, but i think u have some problems with ur graphic config

There used to be super bright and far lit lanterns in the alpha, dunno if they still exist though. But yea, agreed. I usually teleport back to town and sleep till day at the inn or find a bed and just wait it out a bit faster.

Go to a town inn .. sleep .. it's day again, + shops have reset and you can ask townspeople for location hints again

Always been like that, I like it. Youre not supposed to be out at night with crazy monsters around and if youre mad enough to, then get a good lantern and find campsites (easy to see in the dark) and sleep to speed up time till morning :)

Exactly. The artifact only gives a small percentage, almost microscopic, upgrade. Even if you are lucky enough to find the artifact that upgrades it anyway.

One of the artefacts does increase the radius of the lamp but the problem is more down to how the game treats the light from it. The increase in radius does nothing to compensate for the fact that the light comes from your feet and not the lamp itself.

Which is why you can barely see the top of your head at night or why its near suicide to walk up a hill at night because packs will be killing you before you can see more than a glimpse of them. Jump at night and you can see the light on the floor fade and come back as you go up and down again.

The blue shrine points you activate on the map is fast travel locations, so going back to the town inn and returning to where you was isn't that much of a hazzle.. But nice that you went that far to fix it :3

Btw, you didn't say what your "cheat" does, brighten the night? Turn time to day?
