Alpha vs Full Release
This is a discussion between the difference of Alpha and Full Release to give new comers & old timers a place to read how the game is. For new comers its nice to see if they will be into it.
(Below are my opinions on the pros & cons of each one)

Alpha. Pros: *Much Easier as items were quicker to obtain & exp was way more simple. Monsters consisted of all levels and easy ones were actually simple to kill and gain items or gold.

*Skill Tree: There was a decent sized skill tree that was available right away from starting a new character and could level up to superhero abilities. It was awesome (However I have not put in enough time to see if this is still available in Full Release.

*Plentiful bosses & resources: The game just had an abundant amount of resources like shrubs, mushrooms, heartflowers, iron, gold, etc. as well as bosses & monsters that you could stand a chance.

Cons: *Simple & straight forward: Game offered the basic, fight & explore. AI's did nothing really besides say hi, and quest lines or missions had no actual meaning to the game. No story & definelty not in depth. Just combat, resource collecting, & explore the world.

*Multiplayer: It was fun & all to play with friends, but very easy to exploit and gain exp. Don't get me wrong I'm all for help from people, but you could make a character and instantly be at max level. Making the game very fast & rather uninteresting.

Full Release: Pros: *Quests: The game finally has objectives that matters. Its nice to be looking for something or on your way to defeat a certain boss to gain a certain something instead of walking aimlessly.

Cons:
*Difficult: Although Alpha was very easy or at least very easy to level up, that however is not the case in the Full release. To start, it is VERY different, so you need to do the games objectives before jumping to combat. Find artifacts, or rescues & grind pet creatures for coin. Once you can get some lvl's & better gear, you'll be able to do your first white star mission. It seems anything beyond that is just to hard to beat unless actually progressing through regions & there own separate missions. This all really isn't a full negative, but I feel it would be a bit more fun to at least kill some cool monsters or interesting bosses that were low level or make it easier if you have allies (friends/co-op). Hope they balance it a bit.

(I am going to continue playing the game because it has amazing potential & nostalgia from 5 years ago has me eager to give in my time.)

What about the game itself, without comparing it to the alpha?

It gets boring real quick.

IF you take knowing anything about Alpha away... and you serious try to play the Release version you will find after completing a region and moving on to next region. You will just feel defeated at having to find all that crap again and you just stop and exit out... least that's what I did when I played the beta client first. Course I made a mistake and went back to alpha just to see everything that got cut out.. :(

i think you all just forgot what the old cube world was and hopped into the updated version with big expectations. the game is going to get so many bad reviews THE FIRST DAY ITS OUT. with updates the game would be amazing but if every one has such high expectations.... lets just be glad its on steam where it can hopefully grow

You're preaching to the choir. This is what we wanted to avoid.

Need a Pros and Cons with modding. Cube World needs modding to stay alive since we wont see any real update anytime soon, or ever
