does the lore actually mean anything?
I've been exploring around and reading all the lore nodes, and I've noticed they do have an internal consistency to them. Each faction has a leader, and a capital, and a founding year. Some of the factions are known for some kind of magic/technology, like Mana Transformation or Particle Fusion. Each leader is known for a personality trait. You can learn what year the leader was born, where they grew up, where their tomb is. Each capital has a name, a founding date, and sometimes a destruction date. You find these facts over and over again, and eventually they do construct a picture of a world.

My question is... does it ever lead to anything? Can you visit the destroyed capital? Can I find the tomb of Murlu the Elder, known for his kindness? Can I find the palace on an island where Ilbia grew up? What is Mana Transformation, and why was the text blue, like it meant something? What is the point of all this lore if it doesn't lead to something in the world?

from what we know, its procedurally generated based off names, events, and such. theoritically it should all stream together and make sense in the end to some degree. hanvt really paid attention though.

Yes and no, it's just randomly generated so doesn't actually mean anything but it does add locations to your map.

I know sometimes they will add an artifact location to your map, but I'm talking about all the other stuff

I did find a hero's tomb in my starting zone, so those exist at least.
