Heres the things though, my mates pc is better than mine graphically. here are his specs:
GPU: GTX 1080 CPU:Intel Core i5 6500 3.20GHz
close absolutely everything not relevant to running cubeworld. go on a task manager tirade and nuke any unecessary process not listed under service or is somehow tied to windows.
problem persists.
verify game files. as small as the game is one would think downloading anything corrupt is a low chance, but it only takes one mess up to do it.
run CMD.exe as admin type: sfc /scannow
reboot PC afterward.
problem persists.
ensure your integrated graphics is DISABLED in the BIOS. for how to do that you may consult youtube for your motherboard model, pending on what it is the layout may be different. so trying to explain it would be difficult.
also ensure your GPU drivers are good, though if they werent, you'd probably have issues with other games similar to cubeworld.
ensure C++ redistributable libraries are good. i spelled it wrong but that thing. if that has an issue or your missing something important from it, it can cause such issues.
if it persists beyond that then i can only conclude it is indeed the game at that point and something not working right.
Your Igpu cannot work if your hdmi or display port is plugged into the gpus port. They listed an i5 6500 and a gtx 1080, I've never seen a laptop ship with a 6500 and a 1080 that's a very strange pairing due to how bottlenecked the 1080 will be. If they're on desktop you don't even have to worry about accidentally using your igpu unless you're plugged into the wrong hdmi port.
