Dedicated server on Server 2012 or Linux build

I tried to run dedicated on 2012 server I have, but it is "missing XAudio2_8.dll, anyone run into this before, or is anyone running cubeworld on linux?

Server 2012 most likely has the exact same issues that Windows 7 has. Not supported officially at all.
The missing file is the same file people trying to run the game on Windows 7 find missing.

Look for the Windows 7 fix posted by quite a few people in the discussions or google for it, and the fix should most likely work for you as well.

The game runs fine with Linux and Proton. But a native version would be great!

The fix for W7 was about downloading this and putting it into the CubeWorld folder :
