Report a translation problem
The only way I've found to beat these bosses is pull them into water where there is a 3 high embankment. Climb to the top and they get stuck in the water. Yes its a crap way of doing it but at this point who cares, the whole game is a crap way of doing it.
Anyways, I usually just one shot them or close enough that they don't get much of a chance to fight back and if I can't, to avoid them until I can. Otherwise fight in an area where I can circle around an area and they can never gain line of sight to actually attack.
Anyway, I am having the same issue right now. I am up against this giant possessed goblin ranger boss with a boomerang right now, it is gold-tier (legendary) and it is in a room with pillars but the pillars are close to the wall and I've found I get stuck between them and the wall a lot. My character is also a ranger but he has a bow which should be able to hit farther.
My only real way to cheese this fight seems to be to lead the boss to a previous room in the dungeon with pillar platforms you jump across and have it fall in the pit, then as it tries to climb up the wall I hit is. But there has to be a better way... I've got Legendary gear and a Legendary weapon and the boomerang still totals me in three or four hits.
The two main problems I've found that need some serious rebalancing would be 1) the aimbot targeting I see many other people mentioning, and 2) the hit DPS. I could be wrong but each hit per strike seems to be equivalent to a single melee weapon hit and boomerang DPS depends on how long the boomerang can stay on a target. That means - if you've got a boomerang with, say, 5 DPS - that is a single hit from a melee weapon x5. That should only be a fraction of a single hit, not multiple hits.
A good vanilla solution would be to take a buff potion but from what I see on the wiki there are only two potions in this version of Cube World. I am using the health potions and I don't have access to any prickly pear potions. Are there any mods out now or in the works that will fix either the aimbot or DPS issues? Or maybe both?
