I miss Spirit Cubes

If I'm not mistaken Wollay removed Spirit Cubes from the game and replaced them with the gems that Gem Traders sell throughout the game. It's not detrimental to the gameplay or anything but I loved when I would finally defeat a difficult dungeon and would be rewarded with a Spirit Cube (i.e., Fire) and go back to town to buff my weapon. I think the satisfaction of getting that upgrade from a rare drop was much more enjoyable than just buying them from randomly dispersed Gem Traders. Still having a blast so far, this was just my two cents.

Gems were in the game. They are used to just make your weapon if im not mistaken not to upgrade it. Upgrading pretty useless since gear region lock. No endgame like in alpha

Is the upgrade system actually removed? I figured even if you don't have +gear, even if your gear is reset on region change, your spirit cubes and upgrades might still remain. So if you added life drain and fire damage to a weapon, even if you went to a new region, you'd have a head-start with life drain and fire damage.

No spirit cubes. You can "upgrade" with the iron i think. Havent seen any other way to upgrade eq YET. I may have missed something

Spirit cubes were pretty fun both for buffing weapons and aesthetic reasons, hopefully something similar comes back, or maybe dyes. I guess if there is still iron/wood upgrades though, that's something.

yeah from what i can tell you can get + weapons that still work in neighboring regions.

now if only there were plus ultra gear...

Who knows, maybe there is, none of the systems have been thoroughly explained by the creators, that may be a thing, or it may be planned.
