Im just walking around dying constantly. This isn't fun.

So can I set a town as my spawn point? I'm just continuously dying and going back to the middle of nowhere. And I'm weak as ♥♥♥♥. What happened?

I'll give you some tips:

1. Create a new character
2. Stay in the zone you spawn in. (<very important)
3. Slay some weaker enemies and pick up all ingredients you can find.
4. Get some gear, find a town, sell ingredients, buy or craft gear.
5. Maybe start a dungeon (if you could find one) and try and get some more gear.

Pulling some stronger mobs/enemies to otherfriendly npcs also helps in the beginning. ;)
Or find higher ground as long as you are not melee.

Not sure, just be more evasive and defensive at first. You can spot a town easy on the map. And as soon as you activate more shrines you can fast travel between them.

And now i have to sleep for a few hours... xD

Every time I make a character I don't spawn anywhere near a town (nor does my friend, so we can't play together). What's your suggestion for me?

Yeah.. everyone starts out super weak at first.. and you will die alot if you try to engage enemies alot.. I'd suggest standing back at a distance from a group of mobs and looking at their hp.. If it's over 150 then find another group.. if they are around your hp.. then watch their walking patterns and try to single one out, if you're ranged then that's better (I've only played ranged so I can imagine being forced to fight melee would be trickier to pull just one or two)..

But really early on, you want to look for a town.. Finding one is fairly easy once you know what they look like on the map.. Just zoom down to like 1 click out from the closest then study the roads.. use the open map to follow the roads and be on the lookout for several 'cube' structures together. They are dark in color and definitely don't look like trees. You will also see what looks like smaller groups of cubes in rows.. like 10x10 or 8x8.. as those are the little gardens in the towns.. Anyway.. once you find one.. could be close or might be a good hike.. but just start gathering as much wood, plant fiber, ore, silver, gold, etc... as you can on your way there.. Avoid most mobs or try to take some on.. Only travel during the day if you can. I can promise you it will get easier if you're patient and try to just play in the zone you start in.. alot of the lower rarity gear is zone specific.. yeah.. I know.. alot of odd little changes they made to the game, but we can only hope it goes back to closer to alpha but until then it's quite fun I think.. just takes a bit to get used to. GL

i tried every class for hours, and i can safely say play WARRIOR as berserker and use one hand + shield or if you find a better two handed.

with shield you use SHIFT to spin around while blocking and after you run out of stamina you press mouse2 to block and counter, then you spin again

i just pulled a lot of epic rock monsters and killed them easily that way, and i only have green gear (and a blue shield) i dont even have two rings, necklace or gloves

Ok so I just did all the objectives I can, it was hard until I got a legendary weapon... Now it's too easy o.O

When you find that 1st op weapon.... You become the GOD of WaR!! The whole map zone got rekt as soon as I got my 1st good weapon then I got a second one and all heck really broke lose as I was duel wielding op mage hand weapons. but yea it IS RUFF at first till you get some gear.

The game is all about the gear.

Once you get a strong weapon then you can start doing the quests.

There is no reason to play anyway, any progress you make gets reset when you go to a new zone.

That's not true.. The "****" and "*****" rarity gear IS NOT region specific.. So find a "TREASURE SPHERE" and have it lead you to all the Exquisite Gear then your gtg.
