What's the folder purple icon at the top left corner of the screen?
What's the folder purple icon at the top left corner of the screen, right under the gold?

Asked myself the same question...
I believe it's how many artifacts you can collect / are left to collect on the current region, but would like a confirmation on that ? Should discover that soon enough anyway, will say when I can confirm !

It's how many Fonts of Power are active in the region. Every Font you light gives you a damage boost in that region.

The "Folder" icon means there's one or more Mana Pumps left in the region you're in.

It's not a mana pump. When you light a Font, the symbol changes to a blazing fountain.

the purple/grey thing in the top left is indeed the amount of Mana Pumps in the region. They give you an mp debuff that stacks with how many of them there are, so you have to take them all out to be at 100% power in that region.

There is also a small bowl which is a power boost when lit. Not sure which one you're talking about.

It's not a mana pump. I already cleared one and it didn't change any icons; if you don't believe me, it's the place with the Steel Soldiers and the four bosses guarding generators. You fight a giant mecha and its pilot.

The symbol in the upper left corner is called a Circle of Power. I'll provide the corresponding marker on my map in a screenshot.

No It's not, there's no icon when no Fonts of Power are active. You can also have both Fonts and Mana Pumps active at the same time.

Nope, I haven't collected any artifacts and the folder disappeared.

Icon's right there in the screenshot you just quoted.Clearly not a pump, and you literally light the Circle of Power with an Eternal Flame dropped by its guardian. Can't be clearer, my friend.

I meant Circle of Power. It's a location on the map, and when you beat the boss guarding it, it drops an item called an Eternal Flame. Use that item on the sconce and it lights, matching the icon exactly.

Mana Pumps do show up under gold as a puple/grey "folder" looking thing. Stop saying they don't, because they do. I've cleared mana pumps and the icon went away. they even have an x2 next to them if there are two in the region.

The Circle of Power is hardly purple OR folder looking. OP, it's a mana pump, if it disappeared, you cleared it.

Sorry, but I had that marker as well at the start. Along with a "x0" on it, so it clearly wasn't counting the pump in the region. Clearing the pump didn't change it, as expected since it was a zero. It DID change when I cleared the Circle of Fire.

Only other explanation was that it was bugged, which it could have been. Or that you thought it was a pump when it wasn't. Could be either way, I'll have to build a new character and see what the symbol says.

It appears the icon was indeed bugged on my previous character, as evidenced by the screenshot below. So there are two symbols, and one disappears upon completion while the other appears upon completion... annoyingly inconsistent.
