[Important] Do not buy Cube World from dubious sources

Hi,
At the moment, there are some dubious sources where a Cube World license is offered for sale.
They are fraudsters with stolen accounts or credit cards trying to do business.
This is logically punishable and will likely have consequences.
Furthermore, this will also affect the licenses sooner or later, in the form of deletion.

My advice:
Stay away from it and buy the game on the source offered by the developer!

I didn't buy mine from one of those sources, I had the beta key from my Picroma account, but there have been people selling keys for like a week now. I'm not surprised if some people who have Cube World bought one.

I know people who have found people who sell them from $5-$10, no idea how though.

Isnt this a bit of an over the top thing to say i know there are fraudsters and all that trashy jazz but, some of these people might just not be interested in the game anymore. i redeemed mine personally because hell yeah but.. not all of them are thiefs but indeed support the devs directly.

Personally, i would like to buy the game as much as i wanted to buy it ages ago. problem was that my original account was lost and then being a teenager money was harder to get so when i got money, shop was already gone from website, thus couldn't buy the game again. now... well... i would like to buy original picroma key for use on steam so i can play it now instead of waiting, but i'm not going to risk with shady dealers even if 15 eur isn't big price to pay.
And i understand that many people who still have original picroma accounts have moved on without even a slight care in the world about this game anymore so why not sell the key they got just for sake of getting small amount of money to spend on something else.
I understand whole thing about "alpha players get to play pre-release", but being a fan for what seems ages and the fact i lost my account, just makes me feel outcasted and left out...

Well, for one, people who are on vacations from work right now and have only 4-5 days left until they have to go to work again and miss the game?
Second, I don't speak about those scalpers who sell picroma accounts of dubious origin for 30 eur. i'm speaking about users who bought game 7 years ago and now just selling steam key they have full ownership of for like 10-15 eur because they are not interested in using it themselves.

Can you elaborate on that? In past 20-30 minutes i've seen a lot of such comments like "do not buy", "ruined" and etc., but why?

Let me guess, keys on the black market on sites that are interpreted as swears on the Steam Discussions? Those stores know the little guys can't afford legal recourse.

But nothing will happen, cube world has to create a new steam key and provide it to the user and they cant delete steam keys so if u get one for 5$ you wont loose anything.

they as developers have full right to suspend a key if it's proven to be stolen...

They CAN delete steam keys. It is very possible for a developer to revoke stolen keys, and I hope picroma does exactly that if they find keys were stolen from people.

Somebody gave me their alpha account, so I was able to play Cube World thanks to this.
