Cubeworld.exe has stopped working!

Every time i try to boot up the game, it gets stuck on the small square launch screen. Before it even opens the game it just shuts down and windows gives me a pop up saying "Cubeworld.exe has stopped working" then force closes the program.
im running windows 10 and everything is up to date. Any help?

No, its only got one graphics card i think. It's got a Lenovo sticker and the only other sticker is a windows 7 sticker. (updated to win10 though).
It can run a lot of games, so i assumed it could handle this. I guess it cant :/

I'm sorry, maybe not. Please be careful about following ANY instructions here on Steam from people NOT on the official dev team. A lot of people on here are homegrown computer techs.

No worries. I will take any suggestions on affordable gaming laptops if you can recommend any.
I've been careful about following instructions, as i dont want to screw up the only laptop we have haha. Thank you for all your help.

There's a fix in the Cube World subreddit for the crash on startup that's supposed to work with Win7 machines. I've heard it works on Win10 machines too, but I can't confirm myself since my game worked right away.

I have the exact same problem. I've tried all the solutions, even the fixes for win 7 on my win 8... I can only assume my laptop isn't good enough to run the game because it crashes instantly. I was able to play alpha fine before... That's disappointing. :/

at least I can tell you it's not about the pc. I have RTX2070 and i7-9700K and exactly the same issue. I tried everything but don't have a fix either. Hopefully someone has a solution

Been having the exact same problem. Windows 10 64 bit, I click launch, the loading window comes up and immediately shuts down. Hopefully someone will find a fix or Wollay will push out a hotfix tomorrow or at least by the 30th. If not then that really sucks.

Are you guys getting a crash log any where? For me the game just closes and I can't find one (I might not be looking in the right place). At least if we had a crash log we could start to pinpoint the problem.

If there is, I haven't found one. My game just freezes and forcefully closes. I also installed the game on another laptop with windows 7 (including the fix) and entirely different specs and have the same problem. Whatever the issue is, it seems to be out of our hands at the moment. I hope it gets fixed before the full release though.

Same issue here on one of my machines. Not all of them seem to suffer from this :\

I'm having the same issue. If you have an antivirus program installed, it could be causing the issue. Try letting Cube World through any firewalls or other application filters in the antivirus program.

I've already let it through all my antivirus stuff, and nada. This kinda sucks.

I've already tried that myself, it did squat as well. It kinda seems like there are several different problems that create the same outcome.
