Moving up Blues.
Running a career is fun. Until I got to the Infinity series. Dirt cars, then trucks gave plenty of challenge but I could mostly find a set up to blow past the target time. But with the Infinity car, I can't get within 1.5 seconds of target time and it's very annoying. Still running races and getting creamed is frustrating. Especially when doing the Bristol track, qualifying 10th and placing 2nd. What's up with this ? I've cribbed other folks set ups from YT but they're all sooooooo slooooooow.
Any clues out there ?? Does the game up the anti as you climb the ranks ? I did notice when going for the bonus' in trucks, that when I went for top money, the target time was harder to reach.

Generally the pole time gets quicker as you get better at whatever track you are racing on. Generally it works pretty well in concept, but sometimes on tracks like Daytona or Talladega you can never get close to the qualifying time so you just have to start from the back. The AI should generally be the same difficulty if you set the difficulty yourself. Unless you put the AI difficulty to auto, in which they get better as you get better.(Note: The career ai settings are different than quick race) Also another thing to note, I believe the AI in general even if you have a set Ai difficulty, the AI in the lower series are a bit easier then whatever the higher series is. (I'm pretty sure this was done to make it seem like you're facing different tiers of drivers like irl) Lastly, I've found that once you have the AI difficulty hard enough, you probably should set your race distance to 25%. The AI tend to put up a good fight so you really need the extra laps to make your way to the front.

You might want to reduce the AI difficulty in your season settings to the minimum which is 85%. If you change the difficulty in the main game's options, it won't change it in your season since those settings are saved there.

The team you join also has a big impact on your performance. Better teams will give you better cars/trucks. Lower tier teams will rarely give you a winning car. You can push it but it'll be hard. I only join the best teams, which are 5 star teams. And finally, practice practice practice. Oh and I've never won bonus races, and I've almost all of my truck races. Hope this helps.
