However, i will say a few things here just for the sake of NASCAR Heat 4.
As i have played PC games since 1998, (the days of Viper Racing, NFSIII etc.), i can certainly say that current debates about sim/arcade thingy do not lead anywhere and they are hollow. About 50% of the time, it is misleading too.
I won't write about every game i have played nor say my most played racing game here but i can count other recent ones that people may remember... i have over 450+ hours in DiRT Rally, another 450 in DiRT4, and another 350+ in DR2.0. Also 2000 hours in Grid2 (which hasn't got a realistic physics model but very fun to play -crowded lobbies even after 7 years proves fun factor-). Whereas NH4 has both realism and fun factor, which does not exist in above games. Also a career gameplay that is even better and longer than Project Cars 2. I also liked the NH2 game and played it a lot but this game is a better game overall. Sound and graphics elements have improved here. Physics model also got another kick for the better. This game is not an arcade, simcade nor a sim. 704 games and Monster Games did a very good job at translating real life NASCAR elements into a game with this software.
The career mode is really fun, in my opinion. I've learned to accept the faults (cars are always too tight lol).. and enjoy the "NASCAR experience". Owning and running a team is challenging on the higher levels. The actual racing is pretty good. If you get past the "sim vs arcade" thing, you will enjoy it. Preparing for the next race, deciding how to budget your limited money, getting the short track car ready, or getting the speedway track car ready.. decisions..
Still a very good game.
