2. Not sure.
3. I race Hood View, so can't say about Cockpit Cam. Though it looks weird to me, personally.
4. Once you enter the Pits, the AI controls the car.
Pitting still is "meh" compared to NR2003. I haven't yet tried pitting manually but I thought you could at least come in under green.
I think the physics are actually way better than I expected.
My complaints are .. AI too slow right now.. , not really sure how to see when the AI pitted.. yellows happen and you set options, then you're back to the race. In a way this is good because in NR2003 you always had to drive around and around under caution lol..
I think I'm going to keep this game, don't try to compare it to a sim, but just enjoy it for the feel and sound.
My personal wish though is that in the next titles, Nascar Heat would progressively come closer to the realism of NR2003 when disabling all assists.
The one thing about the steering that I would agree with is that my wheel is set for 900 deg, and that's what I set in the game, but while driving it seems to only turn about 270.
I don't have any vibration options perhaps they removed those.
This is more or less geared towards casual racers and/or fans.
I just love the fact that ping ponging is gone and you can set a lot more options to race the way you want to.
I still have the original Heat on an old XP box I fire up now and then. Imo, I thought it was better than Nascar Racing 3 (Not to be confused with Nascar Racing 2003 Season) at the time. I bought Heat Evolution, Heat 2, Heat 3, and now 4. I'll continue to support this series with my dollars. Btw, you ffb guys. Sounds like a pita. I'm still rockin my TSW2 since '98 (with some upgrades along the way) but thats a whole seperate debate. Peace
