I bought this on PS4 first since I could preorder it there, and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. The force feedback is alright. They have centering spring on console and it makes it feel much better imo, but when I loaded in today on after buying it on PC, they don't have that option and it makes the car feel really light? idk, just makes it feel really out of touch. I hope they add a patch for it soon
Also, I'm told there is a centering spring adjustment on the XBox One version. The guy telling me this is an avid PC/Console simulation style racer, and he says the force feedback in this game with his Clubsport V2 with XBox Universal Hub and Clubsport V3 pedals is as good as anything he's ever experienced.
I'm trying to decide between the XBox One X and PC versions of this game right now. Everyone seems to be happy with the force feedback on the XBox One X, and the AI, but they're saying the frame rate dips from time to time. It's also locked at 30 FPS :(
@voltaj
900 deg is standard setting for stock cars but there is a video somebody posted in these forums that's real good and he said you have to turn the wheel way too much and so he set his at 360 deg. (and it was still too much) That's the setting I use in iRacing for F1 and Indy cars...lol
The video is in the thread "how is this game for a sim racer" where everybody is fighting like a bunch of 13 year old girls.
When I finally got everything setup as its still a complete mess to setup I have found that my G27 vibrates massivly in the corners. Its fine with any other game but this one its not driveable in its currrent setup. Normally I would think one would need to reverse the ff effects but there is no option to do so.
Did you have to change anything to get your G27 FF to be ok?
I realize it's not perfect, but certainly very driveable for me. My Logitech profiler setup is something from the old NR2003 days.. don't remember exactly but I know you had to turn on centering (checkbox) but set the strength to 0..
I am going to try a few other lower values and see how they work. When I set mine to something like 270, then went into the game, the reaction on the wheel was way to fast.. it was weird.. so I reverted back to 900.. but driving around in the dirt races, I can tell that my wheel never goes more than about 120 degrees one way.. it stops turning at that point, even though my actual wheel keeps turning.. I want to fix that.
