Force Feedback
I hope they did something with the force feedback because in years past it has been very weak.

Nobody using a decent wheel in this game that can say anything about the FFB?

I bought this on PS4 first since I could preorder it there, and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. The force feedback is alright. They have centering spring on console and it makes it feel much better imo, but when I loaded in today on after buying it on PC, they don't have that option and it makes the car feel really light? idk, just makes it feel really out of touch. I hope they add a patch for it soon

Yes I have a G27. The FFB can be turned up to get a heavy feeling wheel. I've always had to turn down my FFB settings even in NR2003 because the G27 is strange and sometimes has "bumps" that don't make any sense.. But I think you can get some strong feedback

I read that there was a problem with chattering on the XBox One version of this game, and a user found that if you set the graphics to "Quality" (from the default "Performance") it takes the chattering behavior out of the wheel, for some reason. I don't know that there's an equivalent overall setting on the PC version, but if there is it might be worth a shot.

Also, I'm told there is a centering spring adjustment on the XBox One version. The guy telling me this is an avid PC/Console simulation style racer, and he says the force feedback in this game with his Clubsport V2 with XBox Universal Hub and Clubsport V3 pedals is as good as anything he's ever experienced.

I'm trying to decide between the XBox One X and PC versions of this game right now. Everyone seems to be happy with the force feedback on the XBox One X, and the AI, but they're saying the frame rate dips from time to time. It's also locked at 30 FPS :(

I also am wondering which version to get PS4 Pro or here on PC seeing as how iRacing AI cars were supposed to be in last December and they're still not I'm looking for my Nascar fix until then.

From what I'm hearing and reading looks like the console version is better. Center spring to adjust wheel settings and other settings that the PC version doesn't have for some reason.

I love my G27 on the PC :)... maybe I got lucky. I don't have an issue with the FFB. The only problem I have is that I don't know if a real dirt car is supposed to turn 900 deg, and I can tell you for sure that these cars don't, even with wheel (external to the game and internal) set at 900

Will be good check some videos on Youtube giving instructions to Heat 3. I load logitech profiler and little tweak on game. Very good to me here. I have Driving force gt

It would be easier for me to get it on PC with my wheel and wheelstand pro stand , fits nice and snug under my PC desk with the wheel sticking out the front. Just going to get it on PC.

@voltaj

900 deg is standard setting for stock cars but there is a video somebody posted in these forums that's real good and he said you have to turn the wheel way too much and so he set his at 360 deg. (and it was still too much) That's the setting I use in iRacing for F1 and Indy cars...lol

The video is in the thread "how is this game for a sim racer" where everybody is fighting like a bunch of 13 year old girls.

When I finally got everything setup as its still a complete mess to setup I have found that my G27 vibrates massivly in the corners. Its fine with any other game but this one its not driveable in its currrent setup. Normally I would think one would need to reverse the ff effects but there is no option to do so.

Did you have to change anything to get your G27 FF to be ok?

That's weird because I felt some of that when I first tried the game. I then went and turned down the FFB to less than 50%. I can still sense that it is there, but it's so low that I've grown used to it.
I realize it's not perfect, but certainly very driveable for me. My Logitech profiler setup is something from the old NR2003 days.. don't remember exactly but I know you had to turn on centering (checkbox) but set the strength to 0..

Yes I had this problem with (I think) N15. I ended up setting my Logitech controller to something much much lower than 900..

I am going to try a few other lower values and see how they work. When I set mine to something like 270, then went into the game, the reaction on the wheel was way to fast.. it was weird.. so I reverted back to 900.. but driving around in the dirt races, I can tell that my wheel never goes more than about 120 degrees one way.. it stops turning at that point, even though my actual wheel keeps turning.. I want to fix that.

FFB also seems to be going crazy when the frames per second gets low on G29 wheels. Anybody experience this with Thrustmaster wheels?
grirvan Sep 14, 2019 @ 6:24am
I have a Thrustmaster t300rs and can CONFIRM that setting v-sync to every OTHER v-blank fixes the problem. But..........the FPS then are stuck at 60. Hopefully we get a fix.
Reekyracer Sep 14, 2019 @ 6:46am
G920 Works just fine have not notices any FPS drop in the game run full high everything i just dialed the steering rotation down to 540 degrees and it seems responsive like it should
