Change the style of the car

Just a quick question here. How do you change the style of your car in career? Do you need Gold for that of is it unlockable true challenges?

You can't change the paint design, only the colors. Go into "My Driver" and you can edit the colors in the scheme from there. Btw the design is tied to the sponsor.
