Outside of this calories thing, i fully agree with you. It looks like it wasn't yet finished, and ready for a 1.0 launch, npcs have as much character as a sign with their lines written on it, they don't recognize weather changes, player progression and changes (outside of hygiene in some cases); Police is really there for flavour, since there doesn't seem to be a point in doing any "illegal" activities out of sheer spite.
I believe the game can become amazing through content updates, but since it is already
released i don't know how much it will actually matter.
I don't have Kapersky anti-virus but I think I was still on the [indev] branch and idk if that would have affected it. I restarted on 1.0 anyways since I said "well looks like my saves ♥♥♥♥♥♥" and so far things have been running very smoothly! If you would like for me to send the save anyways I'm more than happy too, and don't worry I haven't left a review yet. This game is great and I don't intend to leave a bad one, I'm just saying that I do see some of the frustrations left in the 1.0 reviews are understandable but I'm sure you guys are going to do your best to fix whatever issues they had or they're just looking to be mad.
Also I did read the newsletter and if there is any hint or hope something Jalopy related coming from your studio I'm sure it will be great and I look very forward to it
