How Does One Install A Staircase?

I put it down, used the wrench on all four bolts, but the journal won't update...what am I doing wrong?

Sometimes the game's notebook gets a bit stuck with updating stuff, a save (going to sleep), quit to menu and re-load usually helps update things... :)

Weren't there 8? I don't quite remember, I've been stuck on putting the roof back on for a while.
Who knew reinstalling a roof could take so long!?

2 sets of 2 or 4..i...cant remember, i did as the person above suggested and it worked right. good luck on that roof!

8 bolts if I recall, four at the bottom, four at the top, and glad the save/reload worked, seems it's a default fix for now when things don't get crossed off the list... :)
