Tenants are damaging the house too much
A guy stayed for 3 days and all of the plasterboard is ruined, 2 floors completely ruined, bathroom tiles ruined, shingles on the roof ruined, no fines wall ruined. How can one guy cause this much damage, and it will cost way more to repair than the money he paid me.

This was my first time playing around with the tennants, i made a really nice house complete with flooring, wallpaper, interior doors and everything, from now im going to cheap out unless i get better tennants.

Having to buy plasterboard and wallpaper because they tore up the walls is the most annoying thing for me

I actually tore the entire house down and rebuilt it from scratch with all new materials/prime mixes.

Only thing left to do was the roof, so I thought I would test to see if they paid me more money since the house was 'nice now'. In one day the guy cracked most of the floor, every room has broken walls. Half the roof was broken. Like damn - dude would need a new house every week.

I haven't gotten a tenant yet in the game but damn thats alot of damage. Sounds like we need a security deposit up front.

Tenants damaging property all the time has deterred me from playing this game any more. My life in the real world is rather busy so when I game in the little spare time I have I don't want to spend it doing repairs to the house all over again. That becomes frustrating and a real chore in the end.

^ All of the shingles i had to remove.

Thanks for the screenshots, really helpful.

Tenant damage is something that is being worked on for next update. Part of why the next update is taking so long is I'll be looking to introduce the new tiers of tenants. The lout - currently the only tenant in the game - is the worst tenant available.

With next update, you'll be able to greatly increase the value of your property through decorating and furnishing. Once you've successfully housed the lout, you'll qualify for a better quality of tenant who will pay more, and damage less.

Eventually, you'll be able to work towards luxurious tenants who rarely damage the property and have very deep pockets.

This will take time for me to get into the game though. I appreciate the patience and help with this stuff. There really is a lot of work going into this update, and I can't wait to get it out to you all!

are you guys all just replacing stuff as it gets damaged slightly or are you waiting until it's absolutely broken and the tenants won't live in it? So far my approach as a "slumlord" has been to just keep taking their money and never fixing unless they complain which hasn't been too often, although the house looks like absolute garbage lol.
