the game came first before GFL and after that GFL came out but the setting was before Bakery Girl event so GFL is the prequel

Gonna derail this thread by saying I would love to see Azur Lane Crosswave on Steam as well. More so given how Sony's gone and drunk the kool aid.

Well, I mean there's nothing wrong with the nep nep games, their pc ports are zero effort which is really sad. But no way am I shelling out for a ps4.

I'm just blown away that this is coming to PC. It seems they're updating this one, so they could be adding in T-Dolls and showing the aftermath of the GFL story. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking.

You say that but er, no. First of all the trailer has a segment showing a comparison of the original and new gameplay graphics and it is definately a massive improvement with higher resolution, better depth and detail to the environment and smother animations (The trailer shows the original graphics at 0:10 and switches to the new graphics at 0:13).

THEN you need to add the fact that the game is actually getting translated! For anyone more interested in the story more than the graphics (which if its anything like GFL should at least be interesting) this is a necessity unless youre already a skilled Chinese speaker.

Also considering it is a remaster of a complete single-player game i dont see MICA being stupid enough to try and shoehorn in extra monetisation or micro-transactions because whether genuine or calculated, they seem to realise that a good customer reputation pays for itself. Scepticism is good but this isnt EA or Activision, so dont start bashing them until they've done something to earn it.

^Agreed. Plus, Improving a game's graphics and audio while making them true to the original is actually pretty hard. I hope the original audio is either used inside or remastered nicely too.
And there's no way they are gonna not change the difficulty in the last two chapters...right?

I cannot wait for this game! The GFL mobile game has a great story and I cannot wait to see what happened before everything.

The moment you realize : The portrait of Sopmod is wrong as she IS in fact, like the whole AR squad, a REAL CLONE and not a robot mixture like the tactical dolls. This here game leads to the events of the war that was fought prior to girls frontline the anime and then GF1. I doubt GF2 will have much to do with the lore thou, plus : They changed that lore like what? All 3 months in GF? So its more like AL realy, where the one you play as mobile IS IN FACT ONLY A SIMULATION! Its not the actual AL universe wich actualy IS in peace AND has a world wide alliance of WW2 AND modern ships (Yes, they added modern 1950 DD's to it finaly...)

I kept meaning to read up on the lore of both GFL and AZ, but the GFL is really bloody dense and all over the place.

But that's really sad if they recon'd GFL's lore like that. :(
