But the behavior is sort of sluggish, a little like poly's helping you build in v6. Nothing like the V6 formations. I miss those too.
(For critical V7 attacks, I mostly ended up directly controlling a group, and pausing a lot because the control was so finicky. Sort of like a clay-mation attack. Not as satisfying as v6).
ok, because some of these missions I have to attack a base and it won't let me build close enough to use even the furthest shooting towers so I have no choice but to send robots to attack.
To catch you up on the controls, while holding shift:
Left click lets you select units, click and drag with left click lets you bulk select units.
Right click lets you command where they will go. Pathfinding will attempt to send units along the straightest line possible, but be aware that if the path is less than 2 tiles wide, it WILL fail them.
Depending on the unit, you can also enact specific commands to them, here's just a few:
Vela: Walk or fly
Mono unit tree: Attack, assist player, rebuild, 2 others I cannot remember off-hand
Do keep in mind that processor logic can do some extra crazy stuff with them, however my recommendation is to not play with unit logic since it will lead to you ruining the fun of playing the game, since you can literally automate entire matches in a matter of seconds. (This is also why some servers have been working towards banning logic in general, since lazy players have been taking away most of the fun)
