If your game doesn't launch - READ THIS
Nothing happens when I try to launch the game

This can be a problem with your graphics drivers, your system, or a game-related crash.

Check the crash folders; these are located in %appdata%/Mindustry/crashes on Windows, and in the game's local files (accessed by right-clicking Mindustry in your library, selecting properties -> local files -> browse local files).

If the crash file name starts with something similar to HS_ERR, you most likely have something wrong with your drivers or OS; this usually can't be fixed on my end. Otherwise, send the file contents here and I'll have a look.

I get a dialog saying my computer doesn't support OpenGL 2.0

This means Mindustry can't find the right OpenGL functions needed. Update your graphics drivers; if the game still doesn't open even after your drivers have been updated, your graphics card simply doesn't support the game.

I get a dialog mentioning some other kind of crash

Post the contents of the latest crash report file (located in %appdata%/Mindustry/crashes on Windows) here.

I get a black window and nothing else

I've never been able to reproduce this issue, and as it doesn't leave any crash reports, diagnosing the cause can be impossible. Look for a file named "last_log.txt" in Mindustry's local Steam files, and send the contents here. If that file doesn't exist, there isn't much I can do.

NO errors on failing to launch. No crash report no nothing WHY?
To anyone that has this game crashing without any crash logs: make sure that your path to steam and/or mindustry does not contain any exclamation marks.

My steam folder was named "steam!!!!" (I don't really remember when or why I even renamed it but whatever) and as it turns out java really doesn't like it.
Btw if you haven't tried it, switch to beta version and launch the game. In my case game actually started to generate crash logs (they didn't help me much but maybe in your case they will).

forget it, I found out why it crashes. It crashes when I place silicon smelter. But it because texture pack mod is on. I turned it off and everything stopped crash
Win10.. fully updated drivers, through driver updating programs, and also bios updated..

The Game doesn't produce crash Logs in its Installation Directory, neither does it in the %AppData% Folder, I checked the "...\Local"; "...\Roaming" & "...\LocalLow" Folder-trees.

My GPU Supports OpenGL 2.0 & Extended_Buffer Frameworks.

OPTING IN FOR THE BETA V7 FINALLY WORKED FOR ME, I would launch it before and it would get stuck half through the loading bar and then convert down to what seems like an 800x600 window and then crash with no logs, TRY THE BETA IT MIGHT WORK

I've tried rebooting, uninstalling, buying the mac app store version... nothing works, it's impossible for me to run Mindustry on my mac.
