Captured first sector - now what

I played "The Opening" it says Sector Captured, but there does not seem to be a way to continue... I cant move to a new sector, there are no new researches to do, how do I continue?

There is one or more sectory on the planet map you can move to. But you need some resources to go there.

[Love]

Press "N" and go to the next named location. You will launch from whatever map you are currently on so you can 'bring' resources from your current sector to the new sector.
