Overdrive vs turret : a myth ?!
I see forums saying overdrive affects defenses (turrets).

I did not do advanced testing.

But I did noticed that if I mouse over a mender, I see green triangles on buildings affected by it.
I also noticed that is I mouse over an overdrive, I see red triangles on buildings affected by it.

There is NO triangles on turrets.

So... in theory, overdrives do not affect turrets. Or not anymore since... some patch (!?)

Or do the triangles lie ?

Overdrives work on turrets. Some, like the Meltdown, don't get it's effects, or at least not it's triangles. I'll check more in depth and return with an answer shortly.

Here's my results:
Duo: Shoots faster, triangles visible.
Scatter: Shoots faster, triangles visible.
Lancer: Shoots faster, triangles visible.

Foreshadow: Shoots faster, triangles visible.
Meltdown: Does NOT fire faster, has no triangles visible.

Every turret except the Meltdown fires faster. I am assuming the Meltdown is the only excemption, because even the Parallax gets triangles, despite not having much speed to boost, only damage.

Every turret I've checked is overdriven, whilst the meltdown is /not/. So yes, one turret is excempt.

Oh. I tested my triangles with meltdowns only... :D

Those babies are just awesome. I don't care if they are not the best. I giggle every time I hear 'em shoot. :-D

K thx.

Meltdown doesn`t "shoot", so it can`t "shoot faster", so overdrive doesn`t work on it.
Instead it chooses a target and then simulates continuous damage. Something like that in simple terms.
It has a specified deny of overdrive in code.

Parallax technicaly is a different turret type, which was introduced later and its probably a bug that it can be overdriven.
