Trying to pvp in local lan

Hello,

we are trying to play a match 1v1 or 2v1 in our lan, but are stuck on "Waiting for palyers...". It is possible to do campaign with all 3 of us, but we cant figure out how to pvp.

we have tried to download explicitely 1v1 pvp maps, that didnt help either.

can anyone tell me how to do it ?

I dont think lan is neccessary here since the online function is exist here.Just 1 click ESC and host the game.And make the game to private so only friend could join upon invite.

Thanks for your answer, however it doesn't solve the issue. Maybe a step by step of what we do:

1, Play > Custom Game
2, Open a map with a PvP icon. ( Basic ones or also from the Workshop "1v1 Uncanny Valley")
3, Activate PvP icon and click Play
4, Game starts "Waiting for other players"
5, <esc> "Host Multiplayer game"
6, "Invite Freinds"
7, Friend joins
8, Both have same screen with "Waiting for other players"

what now ? how do we start ?

only solution i have so far, was to download the dedicated server edition. and install teamplug by j-VdS on github. which allows players to swap teams in the first minute of joining.
