Force projector, keep overload regardless full of power and cryo liquid.
Hello, as the title say, i'm curious about the force projector energy shields.

They seem to overload when taking sustained fire, witch, according to their description, should be prevented by puting cryo liquid inside as optional support.

I do have ~200k ish energy stored, and the shield projectors are near a cold liquid storage that pump right to them.

During defenses, especialy in big waves & bosses, they keep overload, regardless i monitor them and see that they have full power & liquid.

Does the description of the thing is outdated (i play in french), or bugged? or maybe i misunderstood something?

Thanks for eventual clarifications ^^

Basically, the force projector projects a barrier that has a certain amount of health. Once the barrier runs out of health, it 'breaks'. Over time, the barrier's health regenerates, the liquid helps it regenerate faster. So, it technically does last longer with the liquid. Also, the shield has to fully recover before it will come back up, so the liquid helps with that too.

Oddly enough... It's also stronger when it's power consumption isn't fully satisfied, but the radius also gets much smaller.

I have no idea what the "12 power units/second" nor the "Power/Damage: 0.1 power units" stats mean. They seem to do nothing.

Oh okey thanks for clarifing it, in translated from french it say basicaly "use coolant to PREVENT overheating"

And when i looked in the wiki it say

"Creates a hexagonal force field around itself, protecting buildings and units inside from damage. Overheats if too much damage is sustained. Optionally uses coolant to prevent overheating. Phase fabric can be used to increase shield size."

Even in english, so i guess it have changed at some point :')

Thanks again ^^

A quick tip: on tougher maps, I will build 4 or 5 force projectors next to each other. Then one the first gets over loaded the second will start absorbing damage. Works pretty well against some of the higher boss fights.

^ like the person above, over lapping shields will be needed to allow a sort of buffer, this is especially true when your getting a lot of aerial enemies since unlike the ground, they will probally get off a hit or 2 no matter how much aa you have.
