We plan to add SBS/TB support however, as it would also be useful for 3D movies. We plan to also support a custom SuperDepth3D as well. Assuming I can get iZ3D working, that will also be another option later on. No timeframe, and cannot promise we will get to these, but they are on the agenda.
Virtual Desktop for SBS grabbing. I was surprised how well the depth map "fake 3D"
could be with a bit of tweaking. All thanks to BlueSkyKnight open minded approach
for letting users have control. Grid (2019), Resident Evil 3 and Pacer looked great
and with great performance, but it think that HelixVision with SBS would be more
consistent in terms of performance.
BTW, I think that HelixVision is too cheap, it should be minimum 10 euros,
or make a special version H3lixVision SBS only, I will buy it again.
It has been going strong since nvidia dropped it. There are even more games playable in 3D now.
120Hz 3D monitors(1080p 3D) are on eebai, and you can find 3D TV's(60Hz 720p 3D) all over farcebuuk marketplace. I got a 65" Panasonic plasma for 300 there. If you take the 3DTV route, stay far away from LED backlit Samsung LCD 3D TV's as they had faulty LED drivers on many models.
